Emerge

Post-Election Event 2021

Emerge is a political organization that recruits, trains, and supports women in their run for office. In November 2021 they hosted a virtual post-election event to analyze the 2021 election results and offer concrete actions that viewers could take to make a difference moving forward. The streaming presentation featured speakers such as Congresswoman Barbara Lee, Mayor London Breed, Virginia Delegates Jennifer Carroll Foy and Hala Ayala, and Democratic Strategist Celinda Lake, among others.

The identity was inspired by popular election iconography seen on the news and around voting booths. The main logo played off of common flag imagery while the identity referenced the familiar “I voted!” stickers with flowing stripes implying forward movement. Since the event centered around analyzing results, we also wanted to highlight election stats as a powerful tool in Emerge’s arsenal of influence.
