This year, the Ravenswood Education Foundation (REF) hosted an in-person gala to raise funds for teachers in the local school district to help attract and retain top-tier talent. The event’s theme was “One,” in recognition of the greater community who comes together to make the school district a success. When everyone rallies together around a cause, the positive acts affect not only the students, but the ripple effect carries throughout the entire community.

The REF Gala had the honor of being the first in-person event hosted at the EPAcenter, the arts and culture youth center located in East Palo Alto.

An interactive photo installation designed to celebrate One, the community at the heart of REF, was the creative centerpiece. Photos captured during the event were printed and added to images of students and teachers. As people mingled over drinks after the main presentation, they explored and enjoyed the installation.
